MOZILLA Innovation Team
In 2023-2024, I was part of an internal team at Mozilla that focused on innovation in the privacy and security space. We had 1 PM, 1 UXD, 1 UXC, 1 UXR, and ½ ENG. We were tasked with the goal to develop a new product to help victims of online harassment and doxxing. We needed to find product market fit in order to get full ENG funding, but we had a lot of pressure and a short amount of time to do it.
Success metric: X% of test participants would be somewhat or very disappointed if our product wasn’t available
My role
UX lead : Managed delivery schedules for UXD/C; Partnered with PM & ENG on strategy; defined JTBD; led ideation & workshops; presented to leadership
Research partner: I worked closely with research to test and refine our work; led concept testing for content-only concepts
Content design: I wrote all the UI content, created user flows, impacted the design interactions, created content principles, iterated based on research
Product: Online footprint scrubber
This presentation walks you through the process we took from coming up with (and testing) multiple product ideas, testing those ideas, and ultimately building our winning idea: the online footprint scrubber.
